EuroGIS-GPS: Testing a competency framework for biodiversity data collection

Knowing how the location of plants and animals changes over time is key to understanding the effects of climate change. Technology can assist. Our EuroGIS-GPS project ran from October 2011 to September 2013. The project standardised EU training and qualifications in this area.

Our Key Outputs Were

1. A standard learning Competency Framework across 5 European countries
2. A set of training materials that support learning about how GPS and GIS work together in the context of biodiversity management
3. Some Quality Assurance procedures for a potential qualification under the European Qualification Framework

Please see News section for further information and documents.
